Since my participation in the IPPA in 2015 at the Italy ICCP, I have been fascinated by the international discursive dimension of public policies and their effects at various territorial scales. I am particularly interested in studies and practices related to governance and learning. I earned a PhD in Sociology and Politics from a public university in Brazil and further enhanced my expertise through post-doctoral work in multidisciplinary areas, especially in fields such as creative economy, entrepreneurship, tourism, and culture in Brazil, the Netherlands, Portugal, and the USA. At the core of my career, I am proud to serve as the General Coordinator of the UNESCO Chair in Creative Economy and Public Policies. I deeply believe in dialogue as a strategy to promote better development patterns, particularly for those of us in the Global South. To support this belief, I am an active member of various Brazilian networks, such as the International Network for Modernization and Innovation in Public Management (REMINGEP). I served as president the Brazilian Society for Public Administration (SBAP) and the Brazilian Academy of Management (ANPAD), where I served as a director. Additionally, I was the director of the Master's and Doctoral Degrees at my university and the general editor of the Journal of Public Administration and Social Management (APGS). I would like to offer my experience and, more importantly, my strong belief in connection and sharing as ways to promote better governance, especially during these challenging times of societal dichotomy. Together, we can create positive change!
