I am Gowd Kiran Kumar, Founder President of the Center for Politics and Policy Studies
(CPPS) and a committed public policy enthusiast with over nine years of active engagement
with the International Public Policy Association (IPPA). As a PhD research scholar at the
Department of Political Science, University of Hyderabad, I cultivated a strong foundation in
public policy and governance, which I have continued to build through academic research
and field-based projects. I have participated in the International Conference on Public Policy
and its workshops three times, gaining valuable insights and contributing to meaningful
dialogues. Currently, I serve as a Steering Committee member of the Global South Policy
Process Research Network, where I focus on strengthening policy research collaborations in
the Global South. Joining the College of IPPA is a natural progression in my journey. I am
also actively involved in the social movements that are aimed at the social inclusion and
diversity. I aim to actively contribute to initiatives that enhance the participation of scholars
from the Global South and expand IPPA’s reach and impact in these regions. With a deep
commitment to knowledge-sharing and inclusive policy discourse, I seek to support IPPA’s
mission while advocating for greater representation and engagement from emerging policy
communities across the Global South.
