I am an Associate Professor of Political Science at California State University San Marcos. Over the past five years, I have been an active member of IPPA, contributing to its vibrant community of scholars and practitioners. This year, I had the privilege of organizing a theme/panel at the IPPA conference in Chiang Mai, which allowed me to engage deeply with interdisciplinary perspectives and foster meaningful dialogue on pressing policy issues. My research focuses on the intersections of political science, public policy, international relations, and development studies, particularly in the Asia Pacific region. This interdisciplinary approach aligns closely with IPPA’s mission to bridge diverse fields and promote innovative, evidence-based policy solutions. IPPA’s commitment to fostering global collaboration and addressing complex societal challenges resonates strongly with my academic and professional goals. I am particularly inspired by IPPA’s emphasis on inclusivity and its efforts to connect researchers, policymakers, and practitioners worldwide. By joining the IPPA College, I hope to contribute further to its mission of advancing policy research and practice while continuing to build connections across disciplines and regions.
