David Dolowitz

Having been a member of the IPPA for over 9 years I have watched the association grow and move from strength to strength. As part of this development, I have kept myself involved with the IPPA, developing numerous connections with others interested in the movement of ideas and policies across the globe – particularly in the global south and Asia. As such, I see the IPPA as being an active agent in my personal and professional development. I see the IPPA as contributing to my senior academic status, as witnessed from my sitting on grant several national funding bodies, to my engagement in international research collaborations, to providing government advise, to international PHD supervision, to being seen as a global leader in policy transfer and learning. As a result of these experiences, I have the knowledge of the global community needed to help the IPPA navigate its way over the next few years – particularly considering the increasing pressures it will face as the nature of research and governance changes. Given what I have received from the IPPA I see it as an honour to be able to offer my assistance to the organization by sitting on its governing College.
