Satyajit Singh

I am a Professor in Political Science and Global Studies at the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB), USA. Prior to joining UCSB, I worked as a Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Delhi and as Dean of the School of Development Studies at Ambedkar University, Delhi. I have also worked as a practitioner at the World Bank as a Rural Development Specialist and Senior Governance and Capacity Building Consultant for the UNDP's Asia-Pacific Office. My work centers around public policy, state capacity, decentralization, water and sanitation, large dams, and resettlement. I hosted the India Public Policy Network (IPPN) Conference (part of this network) in 2018 at Delhi University and have since facilitated IPPN Conferences in ISB, Hyderabad, IIM Ahmedabad, and IIT Bombay. I hope to work to strengthen this network in India and the US.
