I am an Associate Professor at the University of Bologna, Italy. Throughout my academic career, I have focused on the study of public policy, paying particular attention to governance and decision-making processes in European policies and local public services - especially in their environmental dimension. More recently, my research has shifted toward the study of policy instruments and their impact on citizen compliance, particularly in crisis management contexts. Since the first General Conference in Grenoble in 2013, I have been an active participant in IPPA conferences and workshops. These events have offered invaluable opportunities for learning, exchanging ideas, and building connections with colleagues from around the world. Over the years, I have strongly encouraged Ph.D. students and post-doctoral researchers to participate in IPPA summer schools and workshops, firmly believing in the importance of supporting early-career scholars and fostering new voices in our field. Now, I would like to give back to the association that has enriched me so much by contributing more actively to its activities and initiatives. I believe that serving on the IPPA College would allow me to support the association's mission and help ensure that IPPA continues to thrive as a platform for innovative research and collaboration.
