I am an assistant professor of public policy at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. My research interests are policy processes, science-policy relations, and actor-centered theoretical perspectives, using a variety of methods. My in-person participation in every IPPA workshop/conference since 2018 has made this the research community with which I most identify. Therefore, I am motivated to invest my time and energy in supporting its growth and success and strengthening its network.
Specifically, I want to focus on creating and fostering opportunities for early-career researchers to connect, collaborate, and find friends and co-authors from different geographical regions, career stages, and thematic backgrounds. A key idea would be to organize 'author match-making workshops' – a format I am currently exploring in other contexts. These initiatives would remain inclusive of the wider IPPA community, using the association’s existing institutional structure during and alongside its established events and exploring digital formats beyond them.
My active roles in other organizations – in the ECPR Standing Group on Public Policy and as co-editor of two public policy journals – offer valuable opportunities for cross-institutional fruitful synergies.
I would be delighted to serve as a member of the IPPA College and to contribute to strengthening our research community.
