Gaia Taffoni

My academic and professional journey is dedicated to advancing public policy research and its practical application. Through my work on evidence-based policymaking, regulatory governance, and policy evaluation, I strive to bridge the gap between scholarship and policy practice. I am particularly committed to strengthening IPPA’s engagement with early-career researchers, expanding its role in policy impact assessment, and fostering international collaborations that translate research into actionable solutions. My engagement with IPPA has been ongoing through my participation in the International Conference on Public Policy (ICPP) and contributions to the International Review of Public Policy (IRPP). These experiences have deepened my connection with the community and reinforced my commitment to advancing public policy scholarship. As a young female scholar, I am deeply invested in fostering inclusivity and diversity in public policy research. I believe in amplifying underrepresented voices and ensuring meaningful opportunities for emerging scholars, especially women. If elected, I will actively support IPPA’s efforts to build an inclusive research environment, promote interdisciplinary dialogue, and enhance global knowledge exchange.
