As part of the conference program, we are pleased to announce a guided excursion to the Ebogo Tourist Site on Wednesday, March 26. Nestled along the serene Nyong River, this exceptional ecotourism destination offers an immersive experience in the heart of Cameroon's tropical rainforest.
During this visit, participants will embark on a canoe excursion along the river, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and the tranquil sounds of nature. The journey continues with a guided exploration of the lush forest, where towering trees, diverse plant species, and vibrant wildlife create a truly captivating environment. One of the highlights of the site is the legendary Kossipo tree, one of the oldest and most majestic trees in the region, standing as a testament to the richness of the local ecosystem.
Ebogo is a sanctuary for biodiversity, home to a wide variety of birds, butterflies, and other fascinating species. Visitors will also have the chance to learn about the traditions of the local communities, including their deep connection to the river and its resources.
