Biography: Dominika Wojtowicz, Phd - associate professor at the Department of Economics at the Kozminski University, Warsaw, Poland. Her interests focus on the broadly understood effectiveness of public interventions aimed at strengthening regional and local development. For many years, she has been an expert participating in the evaluation research of different projects and programs. She has conducted evaluations for Polish public administration units and other institutions such as the European Parliament, DG REGIO. She was the coordinator of research on modern methods of measuring the impact of infrastructure investments in transport; on the the net effect of public interventions; on the use of evaluation practices in the regulatory impact assessment; and on the use of evaluation in managing operational programs in Poland and Spain. She is a trainer in the field of commissioning, implementation, and use of evaluation results of public interventions (trainings conducted for e.g. UNDP Independent Evaluation Office, Evaluation Academy, and Analyst Academy organized on behalf of the Chancellery of the Polish Prime Minister). She is the author or co-author of over 50 scientific publications, reports, and expert opinions.
