The First edition of the Summer School of Public Policies on “Policy Design: Instruments, Capacities, and Evaluation” was held in the Royal Palace of Caserta, Italy, from 12 -16 June 2023.
This edition was organized as a joint project by IPPA and the Italian National School of Government (SNA). The objective of the course was to increase the theoretical knowledge of the participants as well as their practical skills with respect to the management of the policy design process, and its evaluative dimension, in complex and mixed governance arrangements.
28 southern European High Civil Servants from Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece attended the course, selected by the national government schools SNA (Italy) INAP (Spain), INA (Portugal) and EKKDA (Greece).
The Summer School, coordinated by Sabrina Bandera for the SNA, was designed to be interactive and was delivered by renowned international scholars namely, M Ramesh (National University of Singapore), Giliberto Capano (University of Bologna), Azad Singh Bali (University of Melbourne and the Hamad Bin Khalifa University) and Andrea Lippi (University of Florence and SNA).
