Reichman University

Founded by renowned Israeli Professor Uriel Reichmann in 1994, Reichman University is the first private university in Israel. It is a non-profit organization modeled after Ivy League universities in the U.S. In the thirty years since its establishment, Reichman University’s success has drawn both international recognition and some of the finest lecturers and researchers from around the world. Reichman University has the largest international school in Israel, the Raphael Recanati International School, with over 2500 international students from 90 different countries. Reichman University’s Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy & Strategy was established in 1999 and named after its founder, Ambassador Ronald S. Lauder, an international businessman and Jewish communal leader.

The BA program in Government prepares students for careers in the fields of public policy, diplomacy, consulting, and security. Immersed in the Middle East, students gain a unique understanding of geopolitical events that affect the region and the entire world. A special focus is put on the inner workings of Israeli society, including Israeli constitutional law, foreign policy, and national security. Thanks to its strong emphasis on theory, leadership, and practical experience, this degree equips students with the practical skills they need in their future studies and careers. Starting in their second year, students specialize in Diplomacy and Global Affairs, Contemporary Middle East, Security & Counter-Terrorism, and Public Policy & Administration. In their third year, students may also select a cluster, further developing and sharpening their theoretical and practical skills.

Students may also apply to special academic programs, including the Argov Fellows Program in Leadership and Diplomacy, the Public Diplomacy Program, the Syracuse Exchange Program, the Rabin Leadership Program, the Research Cadets Program, the Zvi Meitar Emerging Technologies Program, the CO-OP Startup Experience Course, and dozens of exchange programs in outstanding international institutions.

The MA Government is an empowering learning experience as students acquire cutting-edge knowledge and hands-on experience in various field. MA programs include Diplomacy and Conflict; Counter-Terrorism and Intelligence, and Public Policy and Political Marketing (Hebrew). These programs aim to develop students to shape the future of society, become tomorrow’s leaders and resolve today’s local and international conflicts.
