Politecnico di Milano, founded in 1863, is one of the most outstanding universities in the world, ranked 20th in the World, 7th in Europe, and 1st in Italy, according to QS World University Ranking by Subject – Engineering & Technology 2020.

Thanks to a strong internationalization policy, several study programmes are taught entirely in English, attracting an ever-increasing number of international students, now forming a community from more than 100 countries (near 30% of the students enrolled in Master of Science Programmes).

The Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering (DIG) constitutes with MIP - Graduate School of Business, the School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano. Since being established, research in DIG has been defined by its commitment to cutting-edge topics within the international scientific debate and its awareness of the demands of industry and services.

The Policy Analysis team at the SOM was constituted by Bruno Dente, and now is coordinated by Giancarlo Vecchi. Main areas of interest regard decision-making processes, evaluation and policy design. Recent research concerns the public sector reforms; the digitization policies of the public sector; the modernization of the judicial organizations; the use of serious digital games in teaching public policy.
