The College of Public Policy is the newest college to be launched by Hamad Bin Khalifa University and reflects the priority that the university places on supporting and contributing to effective policy development and implementation for the Qatar National Vision 2030.
The College’s first program, beginning in Fall 2019, is its flagship Master of Public Policy (MPP). A two-year program, it combines the highest international standards in the field with a distinctive combination of interdisciplinarity, strong ethical foundations, entrepreneurship in public management, and innovation in policy making and design. Students can specialize in either social policy or in energy and environmental policy. The specializations are supported by advanced seminars and labs, which culminate in a team-based and client-driven capstone project that addresses a real-world problem. The College and the University have students from over 60 countries, and are part of Education City (https://www.qf.org.qa/education/education-city) and the Qatar Foundation (https://www.qf.org.qa/), providing an unmatched exposure to and engagement with global research initiatives in every field.
