CPN Conference 2023 - Governing in an Age of Multicrises

In general, you have the following options:

1. Flying directly to Kos island and from there (either from Kos City or from the Kardamena village) to Nisyros by local or tourist boat (1-2,5 hours depending on the boat). Please note that tourist boats (not listed online) travel every day from the Kardamena village (Kos island) to Nisyros at 9am and from Nisyros to Kardamena at 3:30pm (travel time 1-1,5 hours). At the moment, the local (non-tourist) boat timetable may change every week, but usually the local boat (Evaggelistria) travels every day during the week https://www.visitnisyros.gr/en/ (travel time 2-2,5 hours).
2. Flying to Athens, go to Piraeus port and from there directly to Nisyros by ferry (ca. 15hours). There is a ferry (Blue Star Ferries https://www.bluestarferries.com/en-gb) twice a week (usually Thursday and Sunday).
3. Flying to Athens, go to Piraeus port, from there to Kos by ferry (Blue Star Ferries https://www.bluestarferries.com/en-gb) and from Kos to Nisyros by boat (see option 1).
4. Flying to Athens and then you take option 1.
5. You can also fly to Rhodes instead of Kos but the ferries from Rhodes to Nisyros do not travel on a daily basis. The Rhodes option is not recommendable before the conference, because of the uncertainties of the ferries.

We recommend to book your flights early, as the prices are going up substantially.
