Our flagship programs the Master of Public Policy (MA) and Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy (PhD) are designed to prepare future leaders, scholars, and practitioners to address complex global policy challenges through inclusive. The School of Public Policy (SPP) at Chiang Mai University is delighted to share its internationally recognized academic programs with the International Public Policy Association (IPPA) community.

 

Why Choose SPP at Chiang Mai University?

- Master of Public Policy (MA): An interdisciplinary program designed to equip students from diverse backgrounds with the skills and     
The program is oriented toward climate governance, offering specialized courses on inner development, epistemic justice to approach climate change, and just sustainable climate policy.
The program also offers a Double Degree Program track in partnership with Northern Illinois University (NIU) in the United States, where candidates complete Year 1 at Chiang Mai University, earning an MA in Public Policy, and Year 2 at NIU, earning an MA in Political Science.

MA Applications:
-One round: 21 November 2024 – 19 March 2025

-First semester starts: 23 June 2025


-Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy (PhD): A rigorous research program empowering scholars to contribute to cutting-edge policy debates and global innovation.

PhD Applications:

-First round: 21 November 2024 – 15 January 2025
-Second round: 16 January – 19 March 2025

-First semester starts: 23 June 2025


- Scholarship opportunities are available for outstanding international and local candidates in both the MA and PhD programs.
